We are pleased to inform you that the mid-term break for first term 2024/2025 academic session will be observed on Monday, 4th November 2024.

During this break, we encourage our students to utilize the time to:

- Revise their notes and textbooks
- Complete any outstanding assignment
- Prepare for upcoming assessments

This break provides an excellent opportunity for students to revive their commitment to learning.

Normal school activities will resume on Tuesday, 5th November 2024.

Local Government Election Break: School closure and Resumption

Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff and Students,

We have received a circular from the Office of the Permanent Secretary (Policy and General Services) for the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, announcing that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manesseh Mutfwang, has declared Thursday, October 10, 2024, as a public holiday.

This declaration is to enable citizens who traveled for the local government elections to return safely.

School Closure and Resumption:

- Date: Thursday, October 10, 2024
- Status: Public Holiday (School Closed)
- Resumption: Friday, October 11, 2024 (Normal School Hours)

         Action Required:

- Parents and Guardians: Make sure your ward uses the break to read and clear all outstanding assignments.

Resumption of Summer Lesson

The University of Jos Senate has approved that all qualified candidates who applied for admission into the University in the 2023 and 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations /Direct Entry (UTME/DE) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) should be screened.

All candidates are required to:

Visit the Unijos portal: portal.unijos.edu.ng
Click on FORM APPLICATION
Click on 2023/2024 UTME/DE SCREENING
Enter the Candidates JAMB Registration Number and click Get Started
Candidates will be required to provide the following:
Contact Phone Number.
Email (Please provide active personalised email not that of relatives or friends).
Password (Please provide an easy to remember word or number).
Confirm Password and click the ‘sign up’ button.
An Email message will be sent to the candidates Email account. Candidates should check the University mail and click the confirmation link after which the system will display an acknowledgement page confirming the account and a link to the portal login.
At the login page https://portal.unijos.edu.ng/Account/Login, Candidates are required to enter their email and password provided in step 5. The system takes every candidate to their personalised dashboard. Names should be written starting with the First Name, Middle and Surname.
To effect payment, Candidates are required to process all payments from their dashboard only. Click on the button ‘Pay Screening Charges’ and select the preferred payment option or channel (ATM Card, Bank Branch, Internet Banking) then follow the instructions or prompts. (NB: for Bank branch payment, candidates may need to redo steps 7)
Upon Successful payment, all candidates are to enter five relevant ‘O’ level subjects, their grades and exam body and Click Upload. Note: Editing of results will not be allowed once post-JAMB screening is closed.
Print the Screening Registration Slip, Log out and await further communication from the University
REGISTRATION DEADLINE

The Online registration portal for the screening will be on with effect from 10th July, 2024 to 21st July, 2024.

DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING EXERCISE FOR THE COMBINED 2023/2024 JAMB SETS

This is to inform all candidates who applied for Direct Entry admission into the University of Jos, that there will be an online screening exercise with effect from 22nd July, 2024 to 18th August, 2024.

Please note that only candidates who applied through Direct Entry JAMB Admission and chose the University of Jos as their first choice are eligible for the screening.

Direct Entry (DE) applicants are to follow the same steps 1 to 10, in addition to including the A-level subjects/qualification in step 9 above.

B.         NOTE: JAMB ‘O’ LEVEL REQUIREMENT

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has indicated that it would not clear any shortlisted candidate who does not have ‘O’ level results.  All candidates are

therefore, strongly advised to visit any JAMB Office or accredited CBT centre nearest to them to upload their ‘O’ Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS) into the JAMB portal.

All candidates who do not satisfy the University screening conditions as stated above are strongly advised to change their course of choice or transfer to other Institutions.  (Note that supplying false information will result to disqualification).

Candidates are allowed to use a maximum of two different ‘O’ level examination results.

Venue is Church Auditorium

Parents and Guardian are hereby invited to  this years Valedictory Service.

Students are therefore mandated to adhere to the following instructions

St Pauls Academy Staff Workshop

St Pauls Academy Jos staff Workshop held on the 23rd of May 2023 was hugely a success. The Principal of the  school Mrs Augustina Udeozo welcomed staff members and  appreciated God for his Grace and Love upon  everyone and the school at large. Praise and worship were offered to the Lord which was followed with a charge from Pastor Chinedu Onuorah who briefly gave an exhortation on Repentance. He took his sermon from the book of Revelation Chapter 22, verses 10 to 13. The principal appointed some staff members who presented various papers for the workshop. These papers include those presented by the Vice Principal Mrs Chikwelu CN, Mr Anthony Asieba and Mr Gyang Bulus.

The Vice principal spoke on Impersonation As It Affects School Organogram. According to her presentation, to impersonate another is wrong. The law frowns at it because the aim of the act is usually to deceive another to believe someone is who he really is not.

Mr Anthony Asieba also charged staff members that being a teacher is much more than giving away knowledge, lectures and attending back to back classes. A teacher is the one who makes a significant impact in their students lives.

On the presentation of Class Management and Control, Mr Gyang Bulus charged everyone that this designs to assist education facilitators to bring about effective teaching and learning in a school environment. It is the duty of the teacher to teach as well as ensure that learners learn. The Principal of the school ensured that all staff members adhered to the charge from each paper presentation as various contributions from staff members were appreciated. The workshop later came to an end with a vote of thanks from the Principal of the school.

A lady has been remanded in Kirikiri prison for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Ogombo area of Ajah, Lagos state, IGBERETV reports.

Lagos state police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin shared the news on Tuesday, May 16.

Sharing a picture of a woman grabbing a police officer by the Uniform, Hundeyin tweeted;

"Somewhere in Ogombo yesterday, she assaulted a police officer. She was arraigned today and has been remanded to the Kirikiri correctional facility till June 6 when the case come up again in court."

An ex student of the school Rev Fr Christopher Ugochukwu who was ordained a Catholic priest by His Grace Most Rev Samuel Kleda of the Metropolitan Archbishop of Douala on Saturday 18th February, 2023 visited the secondary school he graduated from 12 years ago. The priest charged the students on building their foundation in Christ. He charged them to exhibit the qualities of Christ in all they do, having a goal driven purpose to achieve the visions of their existence in life.

Parents Guardians Students should note
1. Do not use the PIN given to you for Second Term Result to Check First Term Result. When you do that, the PIN will be rendered inactive to check second term result again. Only first term will be displayed and you will be required to use a new PIN.

2. Those who have made this mistake AND HAVE NOT USED THEIR FIRST TERM PIN given to the students earlier  can use it to check for their Second Term Result as long as it has not been used before.

If you have used the PINS wrongly for First Term instead of Second Term, you will need a New PIN to check the current Term.

Your  sons/daughters terminal report is being sent. We expect that you will examine the result closely and sympathetically. Those who have performed very well should be commended.
